Okay, obviously you've already gotten some pretty good crits on this one, about the wing movement and the body going up and down. I'll just contribute my little bit: thickness. I noticed this in the [D95] The Very Hungry Lemon by RetSamys  lemon as well; the tongue is flat.

The wings in this bird are also flat. Thickness is always a bitch to get right, but I think if you do the flat layer first, then add the thickness later, it'll turn out pretty good.
