Description

... a summersketcher's dream is a model holding relatively still while being drawn. Not still enough, unfortunately. Maybe I'm getting better at drawing people. I think I'm getting better at abstracting. Not sure. I still fail at anatomy.

The woman on the left and the one on the right are supposed to be the same person. However, the drawing on the right looks more like the actual person than the one on the left.
I would like to thank both persons for being good sports and for allowing me to draw them while they were spending the afternoon in the sun.
This was done over the course of three days.

Hey! First off, I would like to say that these are very nice sketches, and I really love the way you've drawn the one model's curly hair. You also seem to have a good sense of shading. I think something that will help you draw the models faster, and which will also improve your anatomy, is to lay down the basic shapes first. This will provide you a solid foundation to lay down the model's features. That way you won't have a problem with one side of the face being higher than the other.
Here is a tutorial showing the basic undersketch as well as details on top:

Remember to keep your foundation drawing light and loose so you can draw on top. And gather the basic features/shapes of the model's face.
This next tutorial is a little wordy, but also very thorough, and deals with your basic foundation sketching from reference:
