This is an entry for 's June challenge, the theme is water.
You can probably see the influence of The Secret of Kells and the music video of I Lived on the Moon by Kwoon.

Thanks to and our collaboration, I have learned many "useless" (according to me) digital animation techniques, some of which I have been able to implement here. I used and for this animation. It has been created in three steps:
First, I drew the paper waves frame by frame in GIMP.
Next, I made the wind curls frame by frame in GIMP.
Finally (after creating the graphics needed), I made all of the other animations and put them all together in CreaToon.
Oh, and then exporting (CreaToon), putting the frames together (GIMP), optimising for GIF (GIMP) and putting it on dA (dA).
