For those of you who don't know anything about it, here's the premise of Adventures of a Red Book:
  • Work an entire month on an animation.
  • No pressuring myself about time or execution.
  • Have fun.
  • Once the month is over
    • Post all of the animation of the month. All will be licensed as CC-BY.
    • Start with the next part of the animation, which begins were the last animation ended.
  • The main character of the series will be a flying red book. All will be pretty minimalist, because I can't invest that much time and also my skills are bad enough as it is.
  • Once I have finished the series (no idea when that will be, see what I need to do below), compile it into a minutes long (!) animation and upload it to YouTube. It should be enough for 720p.

I had no idea how to do the title animation properly until it was almost too late. All other ideas I had were way too complex and it would have taken me longer than a month. Additionally, February was just awful as far as time was concerned.
Finally, with one week left in February, I recalled this animation that I did long ago and I went with it and accidentally created way too many frames.
And then, I had something like 500 frames to edit... and that took me another week. There still are some mistakes in there, but I really can't be bothered to fix them.
Anyway, because there are a lot of frames in this GIF, I decided to publish two versions of it. This one, the final version, is in 720p HD, but it lags on my computer, so the main version can be viewed here.

Tell me what you think and what kind of thing you'd like to see in the future.

Woah, looking awesome! I can't really figure out how you did this, but I'll guess you did it backwards? The movement of the paper is amazing. Although it's not really explained why the paper sort of multiplied in the end lol
